Built in 1966—1977, with the mechanical section of the capacity of up to 56 thousand cube metres per day and the biological section with the capacity of up to 42 thousand cube metres per day. Following Poland's accession to the European Union on 1 May 2004 and the adjustment of Polish legislation to the EU law, in 2006—2008 the plant was modernised which resulted in a sustained improvement in the technological efficiency of the processes of removal of biogenic substances (both nitrogen and phosphorus) from the sewage produced by 200 thousand PE (population equivalents).
